Time for a content-free post!

New icon. heh. For things involving "ouch" or "getting hit in the head with a lightning bolt". It's from this online game ionan got me into that I've been having far too much fun with.

Does it make me a bad urban technohippie if I enjoy the American Country Countdown on KMPS? I like Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Jo Dee Messina, and Willie Nelson, just to name a few...

The airlines decided not to credit me for the Boston trip, for reasons I don't understand. Thankfully, I've managed to find all the boarding passes from the four flights (no easy task; such things quickly get turned into bookmarks, placeholders, etc. and strewn randomly everywhere), so I get to appeal. It's something in the vicinity of 5,000 miles roundtrip, so I would really like to have that credit. :)

I have applied for poetry camp. Basically, in order to get 5 credits, I would be forced to spend two weeks in the San Juan Islands, staying at the UW's Friday Harbor Labs, sitting on the beach, walking around Friday Harbor, etc. while discussing and writing poetry. Oh noes; however will I survive? (It fills one of my last few remaining graduation requirements, too.) If I don't get in--which is certainly a possibility, considering the application deadline was back in March--I am thinking the money I've saved for this 'exploration seminar' may instead be used to fund two trips to visit people on almost literally opposite ends of the world (one's at 70 degrees west longitude, the other at 135 degrees east; not exactly opposite, but close).
